Terms of Service
The ground rules for using bnsmag.com. They are written to be read, please do, before the unlikely day we need to point at them.

The agreement
These terms govern your use of bnsmag.com and the Sunday Letter newsletter (together, the "site"), which are operated by bnsmag, a company registered in England & Wales. By visiting the site or subscribing to the newsletter, you agree to what's on this page.
If you don't agree, please don't use the site. That's your right.
Using the site
You agree to use the site lawfully and in good faith. Please don't:
- Scrape or copy our content at scale for republication elsewhere.
- Attempt to access any non-public part of the site, including authentication, internal tools, or backend systems.
- Send us malware, spam, or anything designed to disrupt service.
- Misrepresent yourself as a member of our staff.
Casual personal use, sending a link to a friend, quoting a sentence on social media, screenshotting an article for your own reference, is welcome. That's why we published it.
Our content
The articles, reviews, photography, ratings and design on the site are owned by BNS Media or licensed to us. They are made available under the following terms:
- Personal, non-commercial reading, yes, freely.
- Short quotation for editorial commentary, with a link back, yes, freely.
- Republication of full articles, even with attribution, no, write to us first.
- Photography for any external use, no, every photograph is licensed.
- Training of generative AI models on our content, no, explicitly opted out.
Content you send us
When you email us, fill in the contact form, or submit a correction, you grant BNS Media a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that message for the purpose of responding, improving the site, or (only with your explicit follow-up consent) publishing a portion of it as a "Letters" item.
You keep the copyright in what you write. We won't use your name in print without asking first.
Editor accounts
If you are a contracted writer or editor with access to the internal publishing tools, you are responsible for keeping your login secure and for the content you publish under your name. We can revoke access if these terms or our editorial standards are breached.
Links to other sites
Articles will sometimes link to third-party sites, hotels, booking pages, regional tourism portals. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, their practices, or their availability. Check their own policies before handing over personal information.
Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is." We make no warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the content will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Travel involves risk. Our reviews and recommendations are reflections of our experiences at a point in time. Conditions on the ground can, and routinely do, change. Please read the full Disclaimer before relying on anything we publish for trip planning.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, bnsmag is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Where law does not permit such limitation, our total liability is capped at £100 or the amount you have paid us in the last twelve months, whichever is greater.
Changes
We can update these terms. If a change is material, we'll flag it at the top of the next Sunday Letter and update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England, unless a mandatory consumer-protection rule in your country of residence says otherwise.
